Yidi
Yidi is the Director and Principal Designer at Landelle Landscape Architecture, based in Sydney. An AILA-registered landscape architect and graduate of the University of Adelaide, she brings a rare blend of technical mastery, creative flair, and heartfelt dedication to her craft. She has over 10 years of professional experience and completed more than 200 landscape projects.
Before starting Landelle, Yidi spent several years honed her craft at renowned firms GroupGSA and Hassell. This gives her a deep insight of both residential and commercial landscapes, from intimate private gardens to large civic developments.
Renowned for her warmth, empathy, and radiant enthusiasm, Yidi approaches every client with genuine care. She is deeply committed to understanding each client’s aspirations—often investing hours in thoughtful dialogue before the first sketch is drawn—to ensure that every design resonates personally.
Her eye for nuance and ability to sculpt complex terrain with grace set her apart. Whether working with a steep block or a narrow courtyard, she brings both precision and creativity to every contour.
Yidi believes that every site tells its own story; therefore, each landscape should be conceived uniquely, with a fresh perspective rather than recycled formulas. She firmly rejects the cookie-cutter approach to design, instead crafting compositions that are distinctive, functional, and deeply expressive of place. Because of this, many of her projects have shown strong market appeal, and were sold at suburb or street record prices.
Yidi is known for her tireless diligence and unwavering patience. She often refines her designs through countless iterations to ensure that every project is delivered on time and to the highest expectations.
Beyond design, she brings extensive expertise in navigating CDC and DA application processes. Her projects are consistently approved with efficiency and minimal delay, regardless of the regulatory challenges.
